D'Qwell was a tackling maniac at Maryland, earning First or Second Team All-ACC honors in each of his final three seasons. He led the Terrapins in tackles and made two interceptions in each of those campaigns while pushing his career total to 447 stops (fourth in Maryland history). In '05, as an AFCA First Team All-American, Jackson became only the second Terrapin ever chosen as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He was drafted by the Browns in the second round in '06, then immediately moved into the starting lineup and made 10 tackles in his first game facing the New Orleans Saints. |
